Beaver Creek State Park
Beaver Creek State Park.
1994 Acrylic on wallboard. 486 x 104 inches.
North of the city in Lisbon, Ohio.
The 2700 acre Beaver Creek State Park was established by the State of Ohio after years of lobbying by several area promoters. In addition to the beautiful scenery surrounding Little Beaver Creek, there is a reconstructed pioneer village anchored by the original 1830 Philander Gaston Grist Mill, which contains the original millstones and equipment and still manufactures flour on occasion. The park has beautiful scenery, rare flowers and plants, great fishing, many secluded places for a lover’s kiss unless you’re married, and seventeen-thousand geese.
